I’m taking the ACT test on April 18. From what I heard, there has been changes made for the past few tests such as the new dual passage for the reading section and no more 5 questions passage for the science section. I would like to know more about what has been change for each sections of the test. Thank you!!!
bump, anyone?
Bump
I didn’t know that. I thought the coming ACT would be normal.
@outlooker Nope. You should check other posts on this forum. People who took the past ACT tests said it was different from before
@lofty12345 I took the ACT on March 3rd and it was the old version.
@outlooker are you international student?
@lofty12345 No, I took it in March as part of Wisconsin state testing
If you compare the current test to the Red Book, the ancient dinosaur, then yes, the test will look a bit different. In particular, there is one Double Passage in the Reading. And the M and S will probably be harder.
But if compared to Dec and Feb, it will be the same.
@mmk2015 did you took the Dec or Feb test?
@outlooker i never knew they offer ACT test in March. On the ACT website, I only see that they offer it in September, October, December, February, April, and June
@lofty12345 You can only take it in March if it’s sponsored by your school district or state.
The March one wasn’t new because part of it was reused from September 2013 I believe
@rjp456 @outlooker I assume that ACT only adds the new stuff to the test dates other than March since those test dates are more common
No, I didn’t take the Dec or Feb ACT. But the Dec test is a released test, so you can see what is on it. And Feb I heard from many others what was on it. Nothing unusual.
@mmk2015 Do you know where I can find the Dec test?
Ask the seniors or Juniors in your school. I’m sure someone has it.
