If you are really anxious to get a E-mail account for your facebook (lol) well you dont have to wait to get your FSUID card. Just log on here https://apps.oti.fsu.edu/FSUID/jsp/fsuidActivate.jsp enter your SSN after you click submit, It will ask you for your FSUID. Just call the number on your screen and ask them what your FSUID is. They'll ask you, your social, birthday, and whole name and give you a 16 digit number. Then setup your email and your set! =] I'm so excited!!

Good info. :)

Another way to get ahead is to get your FSU ID card at Preview and avoid the huge line at Orientation. ;)

Ohhh, so Preview does benefit us?

Do we just give them our ssn, and fsuid and take the pic?

More to it than that - you fill out a form (need other ID, like a DL) then they take your pic, then you can tie it to a bank account which FSU can directly deposit monies into, for example: scholarship or loan proceeds including BF.

Then you can pay for food and other stuff (computers, books, etc) on and around campus. It basically becomes a debit card and dorm access/ID card.

Very convenient!

I think the FSU ID costs $10. It also has a smart chip that you can fill with money you use at vending/laundry machines and you get a discount.

You have to tie it to a free student Suntrust Bank Account but like Parent2Noles said, they will put your excess scholarship money there, which is a lot quicker than waiting for a check.

My school files and legal files are under two different names. But my military ID has a picture and my social security number.

They'll figure it out... :)
