New Airline restrictions??

soooo I will be hopping onto a plane monday morning from SFO to JFK and I'm a bit unclear about exactly what it is that we're not allowed to have in a carryon. I know NO liquids or gels or anything even sort of fluid, but is there anything else?? I know some international flights are harsher, but I wasn't sure if there was anything else for domestic flights. . . Can anyone clear this up for me?? I did google it, and I found that we can't have liquids, I just wasn't sure if that was it or if there is more.

there's nothing special really. no guns, drugs, flammable stuff. sometimes they'll not let people take fruits, but that never happened to me.

no water and no lipstick as well

I feel sorry for the mothers who will have to take a sip of baby formula. x_x

Wait, no fluid stuff? I was on a flight yesterday and I had fruits, shampoo, drinks, water, and lipstick.
Good thing I just found out now though.

So people can no longer take laptops? Uggggh that makes my 5 hour flights to california terrible. I better be allowed to at least put my laptop in my non-carry-on luggage. But, they say not to put anything that valuable in that luggage since it could be easily stolen..

i believe you're not allowed to take mp3 players either...no water, toothpaste...just look it up online...pretty soon we won't be allowed to take anything on with us

I know a lot of the airlines were only allowing carry ons to be your wallet, passport and ID... in a clear plastic bag of course.
That might have only been for that day though, I'm not entirely sure. You should definitely look it up, and find out exactly what your particular airline will allow.

They should make hot chicks not wear their bras, because explosives could be hidden inside the wiring.

random question here... but do underwired bras set off metal detectors???

I don't think so... atleast they didn't for me.

lol good. that'd be real embarrasing

Sure beats getting blown out of the sky.

And the screws in my legs don't set of metal detectors, not even at the Capitol or the Supreme Court

Neither do bellybutton rings! (And other piercing jewelry, I assume...)

Also, no food allowed on flights. Like apples. It's a fine of $50 if you're found out.

So what is this nonsense about no laptops, phones, etc? Is that going to be in affect next summer? This is so lame. Maybe all airlines should just go bankrupt. That'll solve the problem. Oh and, no trains at all, ever again. And...no cars. No subways (except the sandwich chain)...no boats. Oh, I got it, just ride horses everywhere like in John Wayne movies! After all, who would think to attack a poor horse?

Tralfamadorian:

Yes, they do. At least, some. Summer trip through Europe was hell whenever we had to go through security.

I haven't heard anything about the technology though. That'd kill me. Especially on a 22 hour flight to China. No mp3 player? I'd die.

So, are they going to ban battery operated booklights? Pens? Pencils? Paper, because, well, you could somehow train yourself to give someone a super bad papercut? Cd Players? Oh and ban earrings, because if you take it out of your ear, you could use the end that goes in your lobe to jab it into someone's eye.

ummm idk what most of you are talking about, but the electronics thing only applies to Europe, specifically Heathrow. It has nothing to do with the U.S.
I'd be ****ed if it did. I'm going from Phila. direct to Alaska. Helluva long flight without my mp3 player and dvd player :)

I guess I can't take my snakes on the plane with me
