I have retaken the SAT and visited several of the schools below. I plugged in my new scores below into the old information but I'd really appreciate if you could tell me if I have improved enough. I plan on taking the SAT a third time on the first fall 2014 date. Also going to take the ACT. I am getting a tutor for both so I hope it helps. I self improved by 240 points though on the last SAT--studied for about two hours total.
I am going to be starting my senior year in the fall. I have a 3.56 gpa currently but I am expecting it to rise significantly in my senior year since my nine-week gpa could be a 4.5.
I took the SATs twice and I am taking them again. I was so unprepared the first time. My first scores were:
420-math
480-cr
530-writing
And the second time I took them I ended up with
500- math
560 cri
610- writing
I am planning on majoring in English. I already have great recommendations from my teachers and my mother is a penn state alumni. Also, I have published my own novel and in the process of writing a second.
I am visiting/going to apply to PSU Main Campus, OSU, Ohio University, Kent State University, Fairmont State University, Westminster University, Mercyhurst University, Juniata College, Rosemont College, and Robbert Morris University. I am just looking for a college or university that has a great English program. Penn State University has always been a dream of mine and they have a really great English program so I am hoping that PSU will be my future home. So, I am really praying that I can get into there but what are my chances? Also, if you know any other colleges with great English programs, your input would be greatly appreciated.
