NEw and Revised Schedule

Chem 1A
Math 16A (sc rew math 1A :[ no need to go through it @_@)
Econ 1
Astronomy c10

too much???

I didn't take AP chem but I took honors chem and scored well on SAT ii. Is Chem 1A a really difficult class if you only have basic chem knowledge?

And yeah I figured since I'm not going to do mathematics or engineering major, nothing really requires any deep understanding of math. Math 16A should be okay if i just don't slack off (i got 5 on bc)???

o and is the mcb major at berkeley really hard? does it prepare you well as premed?

your schedule seems fine!

Math 16a is relatively easy if you've done BC calc, and Chem 1a w/ Stacy is not bad w/ previous chem experience. Stacy really emphasizes big, general concepts with little care for nitty gritty details or calculations. I didn't have AP chem in my high school and still found the class reasonable.

A lot of people in 16a complain that the students w/ BC experience destroy curves... so I guess you'll be one of the curve-setters.

MCB can be cutthroat, but people still get A's. You'll definitely have to work hard + not slack off. If you can survive MCB at Berkeley I'd say you're ready for whatever med school throws at you.

This is a very good schedule to start off with! Based on your high school experience and your major, this suits you perfectly. You should do well and be able to balance whatever else you do.

MCB is the hardest biology major minus chem bio. Only go into it if you love it. There are plenty of other easier biology majors and ones like IB and NutriSci let you further your specialization of physiology and human biology

How come the prerequisite for MCB and integrative biology are the same when MCB is harder?

the upper division courses are completely different. MCB uds are a lot harder than IB uds
