Next year, the College Board is attempting to add an AP Russian Langauge and Culture exam. Are there any other exams you guys think the AP board should add?

I think it'd be interesting to see an AP German Literature exam; why exclude German when there are French and Spanish Literature exams? I've also heard people desire an AP Anatomy or even an AP Marine Biology exam. I don't know. Is it time the College Board ups that number of 37 to 40... or more?

But if they did AP Astronomy, they would have to test it at night or something for the free response and it would also depend on the weather, which mean a clear date wouldn't be picked and that would make CB members **** their uptight pants.

:) There was a thread like this before, with pages and pages of new APs people wanted. Personally, I would like to see an AP Theatre, AP Business (including things like accounting, finance, marketing), AP Hebrew Language and Culture, and maybe AP Creative Writing.

There was an AP German lit test, but since so few took it each year, it was discontinued in 1983. Think about it: only 5,000 or so people take AP German language each year, so even fewer would take AP German lit.

No the wouldn't, they could probably do something else instead of testing at night. Like the AP Computer Science exam doesn't deal with computers at all, so I don't see why they couldn't do something similar with AP Astronomy.

AP Theatre? AP Creative Writing? ...you're kidding, right? These are exactly the kinds of subjects which SHOULDN'T be tested. Though come to think of it, AP Theatre History or Theatrical Lit. wouldn't be so bad.

We don't need more APs. Just take college classes. If you pass, you get credit without taking a standardized exam. That is way better in my book.
