New book - College guide for Visual Arts Majors

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>This book just got released on the 1st of October and I'm going to pick it up today.
"College Guide for Visual Arts Majors 2007" (Peterson's). From looking at the table of contents on Amazon (what did we do before the internet?) it has chapters on:
Developing a undergraduate portfolio
Portfolio advice
Searching for art programs and scholarships online
Typical first-year schedules
Current art majors tell all
etc., etc..</p>

<p>Also has an appendixe on summer programs in art. 399 pages+ total.</p>

<p>I'm not plugging it cause I haven't even seen it yet or read it but I'm getting it to read and thought I'd let others know about it so they can check it out too.</p>

<p>BTW, my D has narrowed it down to:
1) RISD
2) California college of Arts (Oakland/San Fran)
3) San Francisco Art Institute
4) Rocky Mountain college of Art and Design</p>

<p>Maybe one more but she hasn't decided yet.</p>

<p>Let us know your thoughts once it arrives. Curious how they handle the pure art school vs. LAC with art classes question.</p>
