<p>Bard Conservatory in partnership with the American Symphony Orchestra announces the ASO Brass Scholarship</p>
<p>The Bard Conservatory, through the generous support of the American Symphony Orchestra, has announced the creation of the American Symphony Brass Scholarship. This merit scholarship for brass players will cover up to the full tuition, room and board costs to attend Bard Conservatory. Brass players who receive this scholarship are mentored by members of the brass section of the American Symphony Orchestra, whose music director Leon Botstein is also conductor of the Bard Conservatory Orchestra. They will also perform in annual side-by-side concerts with the American Symphony Orchestra. Up to five of these scholarships will be awarded each year.</p>
<p>American Symphony Orchestra Bassoon Scholarship</p>
<p>Bassoonists who receive this scholarship are mentored by members of the bassoon section of the American Symphony Orchestra, whose music director Leon Botstein is also conductor of the Bard Conservatory Orchestra. The ASO, based in New York City, performs regularly at Bard and with side-by-side participation of Bard Conservatory students. This scholarship covers up to full tuition, room and board costs at Bard. Up to two of these merit scholarships are awarded each year.</p>
