Ok, so I am terrible with directions. It took me a whole semester to figure out the bus system and just when I thought I had it down, they're changing it! I really don't want to start getting lost again so if you're are directionally-gifted lol PLEASE HELP ME! How do you get to 1. Foothill, 2, Safeway, and 3. Shattuck from Bancroft & Telegraph?

foothill - take the 52L (unless they changed the number for it)

safeway - take the 51 (I believe they changed it to 51B); safeway is in college ave; you can also take the 49 (it used to be 7; it goes to clark kerr as well)

shattuck from bancroft & telegraph - take either 51 or 49… not sure about the other lines. you can always check the map on some bus stops.

The perimeter shuttle also works, I think.

I think it’s the 51.

How about Shattuck to Northside (like around North Gate)?

Why don’t you just walk to Shattuck from Bancroft? It’s about a straight of a road as you can get lol. But it is the 51. And to Foothill is 52L. They’re splitting the 51 in some weird way so they don’t go a2m like they do sadly…:(

There’s no more 52L. You have to walk to Foothill or take the Rev Perimeter.

If you are smart enough to get in to Cal you should be able to figure out the bus system. Everything changed on 3/28/10. Many of the routes, most of the numbers and they cut out a lot of the frequent stops. Go to actransit.com and evrything is there or cal 511 and they can give you the info.

Thanks for the replies!

They discontinued the 52L :(, so now my only options are taking the R or walking?

Just wondering what’s the best method of transportation to the Oakland airport or San Francisco airport? Which airport would you say is closer/more easily accessible/affordable to get to?

Oakland Airport to Cal is about 25 minutes on BART- cheapest, closest

There’s a new bus line called 52. I think it goes the same route as the (discontinued) 52L.

The Oakland Airport is way closer. Take the BART to the Coliseum and take the Air BART from there. One-way trip costs $5.35 :)

52 is not the same as 52L…

52 is the same coming from hearst, but it no longer runs up durant to foothill.

Oh god no not the 52L :(
