I got a letter from ASU stating that due to changes in the business school, I now will be accepted directly into the business school as a freshman. Surprisingly, the standards seemed slightly lower than they had been earlier (1180 SAT, 25 ACT, or top 8%) so I am not sure what they hope to gain from it. It is great for me though, so I am happy; did any of you guys get this?

I got it too!

Sweet, that means we don't have to apply after sophomore year...but those SAT and ACT score standards seem rather low...Im kind of disappointed actually...I thought my SAT's were on the low side for the 'above average' student, ya know?...and I got 1270/1600.

And i think the SAT requirement is 1160...not 1180. I sent in that Certificate of Acceptance today though...Im really excited now.

So there is no gpa requirement? Just the 1180 SAT or being top 8%???

I guess...It's actually 1160.

Weird huh.

Check out this site guys: http://wpcarey.asu.edu/up/tracking-freshman.cfm

Basically, they're only allowing people who have certain stats in to begin with, making for a larger pool, then slowing weeding people out who can't keep up the GPA requirements of their set track.

I think the new system is actually great as it makes the program more structured and allows for upper division business classes before junior year.

cool. Makes the whole college process seem easier now.
