We learned at D’s freshman orientation that CAP21 Conservatory is moving to an exciting new location: 50 Broadway! They’ll be taking over the entire fourth floor, which is being custom outfitted for CAP21 from the studs up. It’s in the financial district so lots of police coverage for safety, and there are a ton of healthy food options, plus a Whole Foods is being built a few doors up. There are a bunch of subway stops within the block, so access will be easier from anywhere in the city. The building itself houses many services, including an auditorium. And, also within the block is Trinity Church, the church of George Washington and burial site of Alexander, Eliza and Philip.
As the new studios are being built, the program has rented studios at 26 Broadway, the NY Film Institute building, with the bull and fearless girl right out front. They expect the new building to be ready for Spring semester.
It’s exciting to see the investment in the program with this brand-new facility!
