I was deferred from EA

My Ecs are pretty horrible, I’m not even gonna lie. My GPA is average. My ACT scores are alright. I know I have one excellent recommendation from my english teacher. How much of a chance do i stand at getting in?

oh and i applied for CSOM...by the way just in case you needed to know..

no one wants to answer me =(

Can't know for sure. The EA pool this year was pretty unpredictable. Who know how the regular pool going to go.

Dear viva la dana : Your SAT scores are below the regular decision midpoint from last year, both in two-way and three way formats. Your ACT score is in the acceptance range.

Your unweighted GPA score is below the acceptance range that we have been seeing in the past, but the story really needs to be told from your class rank which is not included. AP courses in the Calc/Sciences will receive more respect than say AP Government if you only have four in total.

A statement like "my ECs are pretty horrible" is concerning : either you are downplaying what you have been doing ... or ... you are telling us that you really do not believe in or belong at BC. You have sports/music in your background and should be playing those cards.

Here is a recommendation for you. I would write a letter to admissions to augment your resume - you do not have to send it if you do not want to, but think about this. Two of the best class slogans over the last several years came from the Classes of 2007 and 2011.

2007 : "Taking it to the Heights!"
2011 : "For here, all are one."

Take some time to research, really research, what these slogans define in terms of campus spirit. If they resonate with you at all, maybe you will have a destiny with BC.

Well, it's not that I don't think I deserve to be there; it just seems like everyone on this site has much much better ECs than I do.

I did play the sports card haha. Not the music as much since i'm not AS dedicated to that as sports.

oh and by the way I take AP classes like AP physics, AP chem, AP calc AB, and AP english. And my rank is 7/107~ (I don't really know exactly how many kids are in my grade since so many new ones came this year) So top 10%.

thank you for replying guys =)
