NEW...chances at ivies?

No-one can guarantee admission but at least the blogs etc suggest that you have chances that are about as good as they can get without something like IMO 42/42. These stats are superb - don’t let commentary affect your confidence. For example, MIT explicitly says that the transcript is the single most important piece of information in their process - and yours is perfect.

A “life” will not help some slacker in the admissions room - and nobody here can say you don’t have a “life.”

Good luck. How are your relationships with teachers? As is said, “What other people say about you is more important than what you say about yourself.” Make sure you have great rapport and there’s little you could do more in short notice.

So ignore the naysayers.

Thanks! My teachers love me, so I’m sure they’ll have great recs.

how are your ap exams? even though your academic record is perfect, there some schools out there that send around 20 percent of their students to top schools each year, and an A there is very different from an A maybe somewhere else. this is where things like aps are pretty important. good luck!

I haven’t taken any of my AP exams yet, but hopefully I will get all 5’s.

What about chances at Duke? Or UVA (I’m in-state)?

anyone? please?

Hello? suggestions greatly appreciated!

Bump again

There is NO guarantee into any Ivies. You, like many other statistics-happy people who have high GPA and high test scores, are only part of a lump. Distinguish yourself. By the way, being in the Spanish/Math/National Honor Society isn’t an “honor.” <_<

Anyone have an idea of a safety I could apply to? Is U of R a good safety for me?

B ump

If you mean the U. of Richmond, that’s a good choice. It’s a nice school.

Again, there is no IVY guarantee. Make sure you add a few more likely schools. Virginia has some great ones.

BTW, you have a good chance at UVA based on your scores.
