Given your current GPA and SATs, you probably have a good shot at Purdue and BU, and maybe fair shot at U of Ill. Urbana. The rest are reaches. Given your GPA, though, if you can get your SATs up into the 2200 range, you'll probably have a good shot at all the schools on your list except Duke and WashU. For those two, you probably need SATs in the 2250 range, and even then they'll both be a reach...But heck, those schools are reaches for almost everybody.

buuuuuump....

I agree with previous analysis. You have very competitive stats but you want to up your SATs to be more competitive at Duke and WUSTL, you seem to have solid chances everywhere else. 2250s is a good range to try to go for, and from your current foundation it's doable.

thanks for the input, i appreciate it

your in at umich if you apply early. I've seen kids with your stats get nice financial aid packages.

For mich, you don't need to raise your SAT score with a 33 ACT

im thinking im gonna apply to UVa early decision, you think ill still have a chance at umich RD
also; anyone else?

ummm ok, anyone else?

funny funny, anyone who knows what theyre talking about?

U of Virginia- match/safety
U of Michigan-Ann Arbor -match
University of Illinois-Urbana-Champagne -safety
Duke -reach
UNC- Chapel Hill -match/safety
Boston University -safety
Washington Univeristy in St. Louis -match/reach
Purdue -safety

Kenyon_01
I see from your previous posts that you are considering transferring from Kenyon after your first year. How is it that you feel qualified to offer advice on college selection to others when your own choice is in question- especially in the sarcastic tone you seem to like to use?

umm yeah if anyone else wants to say something
what about northwestern and U Chicago, what do you think my chances are there?

Looking good everywhere, IMO. Very strong credentials, just bring the SAT up a tad. What did you get on some SAT IIs? Those are required for some schools you listed.
Duke may be a slight reach.
Chicago is a possibility, if you write a good essay. Northwestern, too.

"Looking good everywhere...just bring SAT up a tad." Exactly what is that based on as it's not based on info the schools give on who they admitted. Why do people think it's a good thing to come on this board and give false information which is encouraging someone into unrealistic hope. If you don't know what it takes, please don't post. It really doesn't make you a nicer person.

so what do you think my chances are suze?

well if she doesnt want to give a response, how about anyone else?

suze, by lashing out at the members of this board, you do not solve anything. You haven't given your predictions/ information/ suggestions or whatever. That means you are just as foolish, inadequate, and biased as the rest of the people on this board. Why not help the guy? and if you can't help him, then YOU DON'T POST.

This site and its users may not do/ know S H I T, but h e l l, it gives users hope. so its really pointless for you to lash out. I do agree with you that this site IS POINTLESS, but atleast it works.
