New chances please!

My ACT score is two points higher. :)

White male in Florida
I come from a pretty low performing school. I can guarantee you I have the highest ACT score at my school. lol

Class rank: 10/231 weighted, 18/231 unweighted
Unweighted GPA: 3.62
Weighted GPA: 4.15

UF GPA should be at minimum 4.15 but probably higher since they leave out some classes, right?

ACT
Composite: 32
-English: 36
-Math: 32
-Reading: 30
-Science: 28

Extracurriculars (...the ones I could fit on the app. Damn character limit.):

The Verge - It is a section of the Florida Today newspaper written by teens for teens. There are only 13 of us on the team. It is a prestigious position. I had to beat out 45 other applicants to get accepted.

Varsity Tennis - 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th grade

Mu Alpha Theta - 10th and 12th grade

Volunteering

Over 100 hours of volunteering at Keep Brevard Beautiful, Florida Wildlife Hospital, Environmentally Endangered Lands, my high school, art shows, and The Verge.

Awards

AP US Govt - Most Outstanding Student
AP Human Geography - Student of the Month (don't know if I should include that, lmao)
LPSNJ National High School Poetry Contest Topical Winner
Varsity Tennis - Coach's Award

AP Classes and Exams

AP Calculus AB – 3
AP English Language – 4
AP Human Geography – 5
AP Macroeconomics – 2
AP Microeconomics – 2
AP Physics B – 1
AP U.S. Government – 4
AP U.S. History – 3

I took 2 AP classes in 10th grade and 6 in 11th grade.

Luckily they do not ask for scores. :D

For senior year I am not taking any AP classes. I am dual enrolled as an early admissions student at the nearby CC. I'm taking 18 credit hours worth of classes (5 classes) which include general chem 1 and calculus 2.

I want to major in psychology and get a graduate degree in school psychology or teaching. Dunno yet.

“UF GPA should be at minimum 4.15 but probably higher since they leave out some classes, right?”

That depends. If they leave out classes where your grade was higher than a 4.15, it will decrease and if lower than a 4.15 it will increase.

I’d think they might leave out some electives, in which case my GPA should be higher. I think.

Well if they select my best grades for each subject like Bright Futures does, then it will be over 4.3 weighted.

Okay, I think I remember they only factor in academic courses and AP/IB/dual enrollment.

So in that case, my UF GPA is 4.21.

your rank and your act score should give you a good chance.

Yes, I think you have a good chance. I like to see applicants with your stats.
