I want TCU and UH in the conference. But oh well. Baylor got lucky UT stayed in. Wonder why A&M chose to stay. That was very foolish of them. It’s literally the Texas Longhorns Conference now. xD

They’re Aggies - would you actually expect more of them? ;)

yea so the Aggies have officially decided to stay?

yea and the Big 12 might not add any more teams… Baylor got really lucky. I think UH might end up in the Mountain West Connference.

The Longhorns on the Big 12 lol

so utahs out, who else is in?

It doesnt look like UH/TCU will join the Big 12… I dont think Texas could handle the “hit” anyway…

the guy at A&M has been getting HATE mail lmao… A&M should’ve joined the SEC when they had the chance

UH/TCU is really making a push to get in the Big 12, they have facebook groups and what not.

[University of Houston Should Join The Big 12 | Facebook](<a href=“Facebook Public Group | Facebook”>Facebook Public Group | Facebook)

[cant find TCU’s group]

Theirs talk that Arkansas might be trying to join the Big 12… BYU’s also somewhere in the mix

Did anybody see the cover of Dave Campbells Texas Football btw? Case Keenum along with 2 other QBs made the cover…

Arkansas is rumored to have put out feelers, and there is also a tiny bit of scuttlebutt that Dodds may use his connections with Notre Dame to bring them into the fold too, but who knows. The push for more teams is supposedly coming from Jerry Jones so he doesn’t lose out on the championship game that had been agreed to be played at the new stadium. But if 2 more come in, the near 20 mil per school goes down unless they can get ABC/ESPN and maybe Fox (who carries Arkansas) to up the ante.

Personally, Arkansas can suck it. They had their chance to play but decided the grass was greener in the SEC when they left the old SWC. But Notre Dame could be an awesome addition.

As someone who’s from Arkansas and attending UT, I can promise you AR will never go to big 12. 90% of the fanbase is against the move. (Personally, I’d be for it.)

The only reason it’s being seriously discussed is that Jerry Jones, Cowboys owner/AR championship alum of '64, wants AR to renew rivalries with TX. AR has not done as well in the SEC as it had in the SWC.

i think they should stay in the SEC, but Jerry will keep pushing the big 12 to add more teams…

The average ranking of schools in the SEC is 97. The new Big 12 is 96.3. Neither is anything to shout about but the Big 12 is higher. For schools which are not ranked, I used 129 and counted them all equally in figuring these averages. Also too, the Big 12 has five universities in the AAU while the SEC only has two.

Big 12 > SEC

Oh, please. Since you are now an official member of Cougar High, err UofH, it is quite plucky of you to denigrate the intelligence of this forum with poppycock implying that Texas is in any way intimidated by Cougar High.

BTW, with just a quick Google search, there is a plethora of interesting UofH sites you could try. One in particular stands out: [Coogfun - Home Page - You’re home for UH Cougar Sports](http://www.CoogFun.com)

Since you will be a freshman there is just a few months, perhaps you should learn to embrace your new home.

Obviously Texas is scared they’ll take a hit in recruiting/television/WINS/money. If they ever do play Houston, they’ll get knocked off just like Tech/Oklahoma did.

I’ll be a freshman at the University of Houston, Cougar High doesnt exist!

GO COOGS !!!

Whatever you say, tough guy. No doubt, the collective of President Bill Powers, AD Deloss Dodds, and the UT Board of Regents are quaking at the premise of Cougar High joining the Big 12.

OT: If you are so entralled with all that Cougar High has to offer and are totally on board with its “superiority”, then why are you still posting here? Latent inferiority, perhaps? Or, Freudian Oedipus complex? Neither, because they are beyond your intellectual grasp?

BTW, the site posted above is actually a decent site by UofH standards.

TV coverage aside, fans would be upset if they didn’t have their traditional turkey day with A&M or the big OU weekend.

keep this thread on topic, its really suppose to be about conference realignment. This isnt a bash UH thread, but thats expected from you. *

Im not sure if you realize it but plenty of people that dont go to TExas post/have posted on this board…

OU weekend is GREAT imo

You brought up the “inferiority” felt by Texas regarding Cougar High and it seemed imperative that it be mitigated since this is a TEXAS board.

As to the assertion that others post on here who are not attending, nor will ever attend UT, that is no doubt true. They just don’t post obsessive drivel like you do.

haha “drivel”

Up until yesterday, the MWC was looking stronger… Such a low blow on the Pac 12s part.

Sorry, I used a word you’ve never seen before.

This is a helpful site: [Dictionary.com | Find the Meanings and Definitions of Words at Dictionary.com](http://www.dictionary.com)

Meaning: childish, silly, or meaningless talk or thinking; nonsense; twaddle.

That is soooo mature of you, Pierrechn. And it is saved in the quotations for the moderators to see as well.

I’m so annoyed… is there any way we can block or make it so we don’t have to see some people’s posts?? I feel like the world would be more at peace.

why do i get the feeling that some of you are social outcasts?

excuse me? we’re not the ones obsessing about a school we don’t attend or making arguments without validity. if anything, seeing you post here at basically every hour of the day leads me to believe that YOU are the outcast. what are you doing this summer?
