ick, this is such a royal mess, barnard and wellesley (which both gave me enough money) won't give me an extension on my deposit deadline, harvard won't do any early review of my application and I'm four thousand dollars short of being able to go to Georgetown. Wellesley gave me a 3500 dollar grant and Barnard gave me a 2000 dollar work study, and Georgetown's deposit deadline isn't until June 15, so I'm really hoping that Georgetown gives me the 4k in negotiations/matching what other schools gave. I'm not really sure what to do if they don't. Does anyone have any tips for dealing w. Gtown financial aid people? my mom is calling them tomorrow and is basically going to do the whole, we can't co-sign on loans because we're mortgaging our house next year, she's worked so hard to get here, Gtown is her first choice routine....

Georgetown is amenable to reasoned argument. You should send a letter and official documents that clearly indicate your financial need.
