New Dartmouth International Science Essay Competition

Hello CC!

(I've posted on the general section, but I realized that I should also post this in the Dartmouth College section. I had a conversation with the Dean Laskaris, who is in charge of Dartmouth Admissions, and she agreed that this would be an exciting idea, so I woud assume that this could be a potential resume booster for Dartmouth admissions)

I'm currently a college sophomore, but I realized how much that I've utilized this site for looking out for opportunities in high school.

There is a new international high school science essay competition that will be sponsored by the Dartmouth Undergraduate Journal of Science, which will be going international next year. I am currently on its masthead, so I thought to pass on this opportunity to be published in an undergraduate science journal.

"All high school students and international equivalents are invited to participate in the first annual International Science Essay Competition sponsored by the Dartmouth Undergraduate Journal of Science. Students may submit an essay about the recent effects and future promises of science in our society. Write about particular discoveries, events, or persons from science in current events or present a more general account of the changes and developments.

The author of the winning essay will receive a monetary award and have their winning essay published in the Fall 2012 print issue of Journal."
