it has been circulated around CC that Penn weighs a little heavier on GPA/rank than on SAT's and looks at the application hollistically. however, with the change of deans, from stetson to kaplan, will this affect anything or will the emphasis on certain criterias change?

bump bump I want to know!

only admissions officers would know this.

I would doubt that an interim dean would have the power to make any significant, sweeping changes to the selection process. Very little will change until a new permanent dean is chosen.

you won't get in now that the dean has changed.

The new dean will make Penn as friendly to Asians as Princeton is :P

This is the only possible explanation if I get rejected, of course

i think that this interim dean will undoubtedly have an effect on admissions this year, though whether or not this effect will be apparent is yet to be determined. at the end of day, admissions will still be admissions: a somewhat subjective, almost arbitrary, yet highly effective way of building a college class.

i just wanna get in...

How long would it be until the official new dean is chosen? I've heard that this interim dean is staying for at least another year. Sb pls confirm this!
