New Doble lab at Tufts??

<p>Hi! I'm a rising junior (class of 2014) who just joined this site. I toured Tufts earlier this summer and absolutely loved it - it's definitely one of my top choices.</p>

<p>I want to study something engineering or science related, though I'm not exactly sure what yet. I do know that I want to be able to get into a lab during undergrad, which is why a school like Tufts seems so appealing!</p>

<p>I was doing some online searches about labs at Tufts and found a few mentions of a new lab being built called the "Integrated Lab Complex." It sounds really cool, especially for people like me who have "integrated" interests in both biology and engineering. However, they made no mention of the lab on my tour or info session. Was it ever built? I know the economy has been rough for the last couple years, but it seems like they already raised the money to build it. Here are a few links as to what I'm talking about. Let me know if anyone knows when this is going to be built - hopefully before 2018!!</p>

<p>Any one know anything I don't about this building at Tufts??</p>

<p>This sounds like it is referring to 200 Boston Ave, a large building where a lot of BME work is done and where some of the bio department is moving next year. But it might also be referring to something in Anderson Hall or SciTech? I have never heard of an “Integrated Lab Complex”, so I imagine it was renamed.</p>

<p>I think President Monaco wants to build a new lab. Not sure if this is the one you were referring to, but a new lab would be cool for science/engineering kids for sure</p>

<p>This link was sent out to the Tufts community earlier this month. At the bottom of the page it references a new science building that seems to be in the 5-year plan. Perhaps this is the same thing you were talking about? Not sure, but seems exciting regardless</p>
