New England regional tuition discount and merit aid

We are from MA and my D is interested in being an Allied Health Sciences major at UConn. This major would qualify us for the NE regional tuition discount. Would we be able to apply merit scholarships on top of this tuition discount?

It’s is my understanding that every applicant is considered for merit scholarships. When my daughter applied, UCONN advertised that those applying prior to Dec 1st had the best shot at getting merit $. Also at that time the requirements were that the applicant needed to be in top 10% of HS class and the SAT cut off was somewhere around 1350(m& r).

I recall reading somewhere - maybe another school…that merit scholarships are adjusted lower…
