<p>Hey all,
Is it possible to redo your FAFSA in January and get more aid for the Spring Semester? I'll be going to the same school, and I already got my financial aid information for Fall and Spring, but like for example I didn't get full Pell Grants due to my EFC. My EFC will have gone down when I re-file it, so will that make me eligible for full pell grant for spring semester? Anyone know?
Thanks!</p>
<p>Unless you appeal directly to your school's financial aid office with documentation supporting a severe change in family circumstances, your financial aid isn't likely to change for spring semester. When you fill out the 08-09 FAFSA in January, you fill it out for the determination of your financial aid during the school year Fall 2008-Summer 2009.</p>
<p>Yeah..I figured as much. There was a severe change though...my mom lost her job. o__o</p>
<p>Losing a job is a severe change in circumstances. If you are still at school, make an appointment with the Fin Aid office now. If you are already home, call them and do a phone appt. The worst they can say is no.</p>
<p>Good Luck</p>
<p>Thanks. I'll call tommorow. But the financial aid advisor assigned to me is SO hateful...
"Part of my financial aid didn't credit to my account.."
"So? Want me to do something about it?"</p>
<p>No joke..</p>

<p>Call the school with this information. It may help...it may not.</p>
