I'm usually the kind of guy who wears hoodies and skate tees. How can I change this for college when I'm going to college next year?

Wear collared shirts lol.

You don’t have to change your style. A lot of people dress like that in college. If you want to improve your wardrobe, you can wear polos and khakis. Many people will be impressed at the effort.

You can wear anything you want for instance I have a Natty Boh tshirt for everyday of the week.

Men:

Normal everyday wear depending on the season:
Polos
tshirts without any writing on them
shorts that stop above or at the knee (such as a 9 inch inseam)
boat shoes
plain casual shoes/sneakers
Straight leg regular or boot cut jeans
boots for the winter
flip flops when its warm out
school tshirts/hoodies
tshirt and gym shorts when going to the gym
team jerseys on game day
button down shirts

Some brands a lot of people wear that fit into this category are:
Vineyard Vines
Brook Brothers
Southern Proper
Ralph Lauren
Lacoste
Jos A Bank
Sperry Topsiders
Levi Strauss Authentic Signature (great pair of jeans)
Wranglers

oh thanks. i was wondering where you buy like black, navy, or grey shirts with nothing on them. theyre just plain

…you can buy plain t shirts anywhere…target, gap, old navy, jcrew, department stores…seriously anywhere

Colored Shirts, they didn’t call them collared people, it wouldn’t have made sense…

^ Are you seriously in College…please for the love of God tell me you are joking…collared shirts as in shirts WITH A COLLAR.

also would someone suggest some places to buy because i usually buy from pacsun.

be yourself, just dress how you want to. nobody can dictate what you should and shouldn’t wear to college (nobody’s out to judge you either). if you like casual clothes wear casual clothes, if you like preppy wear preppy, and so on.

not everyone can afford brands like jos. a bank lol, well at least here.

Thrift stores often carry great clothes for dirt cheap. Just dress how you want, it really shouldn’t matter what anyone else thinks of the CLOTHES you wear.

One thing I wouldn’t do is wear exclusively pastel polos and khakis/jeans on a consistent basis. You’ll look like a WASP and a tool, despite how fashionable many people think this style is.

Jos. A Bank is half a step above department store stuff, it’s not like it’s Armani.

@zchryevns everyone’s personal style is their choice, some people like wearing clothes like that. Why do they look like tools?

yeah,you’re right,they are so cheap.

I’ll share my style.

I’m not one who cares about brand. Yes, very cheezy saying but no one cares about brand unless they’re a d-couch.
I find that the color scheme matters most. I always avoid wearing a blue shirt with blue jeans (which is obvious). For example I like the casual blue-black-white scheme or the bold green-orange-black scheme. So, I have an assortment of colored clothes that I just bought at Old Navy, Adidas, GAP, AE, Macy’s, and other department stores. I also avoid clothes with a HUGE logo is sewn on your chest.

just worry about it after college

:) I was joking… haha

Polos sounds like it would be what you want. Plain T’s can be found at like Walmart, Targetm and Finish Line.
