How is everything going? How was frosh O? Do you need anything? Let me know when you guys have a chance because I am back on campus (though my room is a mess). I hope all is well with you guys.

Hey irish! Everything has been going very well, thanks for asking! Frosh-O was definitely an experience, I've never seen anything like DomerFest before in my life. Our room right now is also torn up a bit; we have to put the futon together and clear out some of the boxes to make it so we can actually move around. Hope the rest of your move-in goes well!

I know I have made the offer before but remember, I do have a car if you guys need stuff. Let's just try to get groups together so I don't have to go to the store four times, but I definitely don't mind Walmart trips. Also, if people are interested in meeting, let me know.

btw blueblooded, my car does have Bush stickers on it, lol. Oh well, I will just try to prove that conservatives can be good people.

no problem, irish - some of my best friends in high school were conservatives, too...made for some interesting conversations. Thanks for the ride offer, I'll let you know.

We moved our S in this weekend, and it was MY first time to ND!

Wow! S and H visited last summer and they were dazzled, as I was this weekend.

The campus is stunning! The orientation was a bit of everything- spiritual, funny, entertaining, culminating with mass followed later by the marching band and Charlie Weis in the basketball arena! It couldn't have been more exciting-

Our S enjoyed every moment of his orientation programs at Morrissey.
Have you heard about the rector there, and his no tolerance of alcohol policy. Whew, parents and students were more than a bit shocked at this, especially when other rectors seem to convey a completely different message. Do you know anything about this ??

We were so impressed with how well run the campus is ,and what a good job they did moving people around. Military precision and much appreciated by the tired, weary emotionally drained parents. I guess they get lots of practice when the campus swells during football weekends.

How about the rumor the pep rally, Penn State game which is the most requested game for tickets in ND history, is being held in the stadium and 80.000 people expected!!

What an exciting time to be a domer! Enjoy Irish, and thanks for being so helpful on CC !

Dang, I wish I was there with you guys.

Hey Irish,

Just returned from ND. WOW amzing experience. To paraphrase Sinatra, "if you can't make it here, you can't make it anywhere." I was so impressed with dorm staff and every aspect of the program.

By the way asked previously if they have a ND planner--they do--it's in the bookstore. Has important dates and info already marked.

Thanks for all your help,

Swmmr984's mom

Frosh-O was really fun, but absolutely exhausting. Especially when they woke our dorm up at 6:30 one of the mornings. I'm still amazed that my roommate and I managed to get everything to fit into our tiny double, but it all worked out and we're pretty much settled in now. Thanks again for the ride offer and good luck with moving in!
