New here, desperate for help

Hi everyone,
I’m new to CC, have lurked for years. I’m really desperate for help and in need of guidance.

I attended a US Service Academy for a little over 2 years, went straight from highschool, and left after an assault this spring.

I went home to (state) and started taking courses mid semester. Truth be told I wasn’t ready for classes as I wasn’t even home yet when they began, and failed all but one, in which I got a C.

In September I moved to (state) and tried to start school again online there, I lost the support of my parent after leaving SA so I began working 72+ hours weekly in order to survive living out of car. I’m at the end of semester and will maybe pass 1 course. I just recently got accepted to state university here, and I’m worried about financial aid implications for next semester. I reported to them I was taking courses at community college, but it never showed up on my financial aid forms, and I was qualified for aid next semester.

I’m afraid after transferring schools in January that my aid will be pulled. I am a good student, I was all AP/IB in HS, got into multiple SA, had good grades there, just wasn’t ready to return to school after what happened. I am now, but I’m deadly worried that my community college grades are going to hurt me deeply. I’m even more afraid that when I report the grades to the new university they will rescind my acceptance or aid…which I don’t have money to pay for tuition.

What can I do? I appreciate the help.

You need to talk to the admissions people at the new college. Visit if you can vs. talking on the phone. They Will find out about the CC grades so it’s best to get in front of the issue. They could accept you on ac pro or make you attend more CC to make sure you are ready for a four year U. Good luck.
