New Here just wondering my chances?

Hi im new to the site and I am currently a Junior at a National Blue Ribbon public high school in Southern California.

My current GPA is a 3.6 unweighted but during my Junior year I am currently taking three Ap courses: Chemistry, US History and Studio Art 3d in which I have a B+, B and an A
My first try at the SAT I I recieved a 1710 with doing minimal studying and no previous practicing
My Sat II so far is a 670 in World History, but I plan on taking the Math 2 the Math 1, Chemistry and US History test
My ECs are: Cofounder of my schools Chess club, 1 year work expierence at a local hardware store, 200+ hours volunteering at the city library helping young kids with learning disabilities enjoyreading, 50+ hours volunteering at a local Nursing home and 1 year in CSF and NHS.

In College I would like to major in either Business or Engineering(I restore musclecars)

I would really like to know my chances at being accepted to these schools:
UC Davis
UC San Diego
UC Irvine
UC Riverside
UC Santa Cruz
UC Santa Barbara
Univeristy of Arizona at Tucson
University of Oregon
University of Texas Austin
University of Indiana Bloomington
Cal Poly Pomona

Thank you and I hope you can help me with determining my chances

Bump, come on guys I just want some advice

Do you know your rank? UCs are rank whores with their ELC and junk.

UC Davis: High Match
UC San Diego: Reach
UC Irvine: High Match
UC Riverside: In
UC Santa Cruz: Match
UC Santa Barbara: Match

Not sure on rest. If my post didn't help, it's atleast a free bump.

Should be in at Oregon and Arizona. Don't know anything about the Cal schools.

Thanks for the help, currently all I know about my class rank is that I am in the top 10% according to my counselor

Why not apply to schools with automotive engineering, clearly our Country needs help in that arena and your interests seem well aligned!

Actually UC Riversise does have An AutoEnginneering program and some of the students are interns at Audi automotive

I've been trying to get a kid I work with who also has a love of cars to consider schools with automotive engineering but he doesn't want to leave NY. Several schools in the MW also have good programs. I really believe when you go for your passion you can't help but do great!

well i think UCSD and UCSB are a SLIGHT reach, but you have a very good chance to get into ALL of those

i hate when people add "no prep" to the beginning of their SAT scores.

colleges don't know if you prepped for a test or not (and they probably assume you did considering it's such a big factor in college admissions) so when they see your 1710 they won't go "OMG he didn't prep for this, he's a genius"

basically, you might not even do that much better if you do prep. so don't think that your score is going to go soaring just because you didn't prep the first time.

PREPPREPPREPPREP.

good luck with junior year!

Thanks to all that replied, I have one question for you, what does high match mean? I assumed it meant that I had a pretty good but not for sure chance to be accepted, was my assumption correct?

high match means a higher than a regular match. not quite a reach, but you're slightly slightly under expectance type of thing.

bumpbumpbump
