New here....what are my chances?

<p>I've just finished all my applications yesterday and I'm already sweating bullets about whether or not I'm admitted =/. I would appreciate it if you guys could assess my stats and tell my chances of getting into the schools I've applied to. And if you can, could you guys suggest some other schools that I should apply to? In terms of majors I'm leaning towards economics/business or maybe public policy/political science. </p>

<p>Colleges I'm applying to:
American University, George Washington University, New York University (reach), Virginia Tech University, Penn State University - University Park, Carnegie Mellon (REACH), University of Maryland - College park, Boston University</p>

<p>I attend a nationally ranked high school in a very highly regarded school system.
My unweighted GPA out of 4 is a 3.3 ( I know...pathetic)
Weighted 3.9/5
Schools in Montgomery County do not rank
Essay - According to my teachers, my essay is ridiculously good.
SAT Scores (January 2006) and November scores haven't come back yet
Critical Reading - 710
Math -690
Writing - 700
SAT II
Literature - 720
Math II C - 700
AP Tests
AP NSL Government - 4
AP World History - 5</p>

Wrestling Team 10th/11th
Derwood Stags Rugby ATeam (equivalent of Varsity) 11th/12th
Varsity Co-Ed Cheerleading (It's not as gay as it seems, I lift chicks up...I swear ;D) 12th
Mock trial 12th grade
outdoor Ed counselor 10th/11th
Amatuer Kickboxer with a 12-0 record (I'm sure this doesn't really matter but just listing anyways)
Assistant instructor in Self-defense for law enforcement
230 student service learning hours
Tutor at Advanced Learning Center
Worked at a summer camp and taught foreign children English as a second language</p>

<p>*Please take into account that schools such as UMCP and BU have higher regard for SAT scores than some others schools. With that, I'd really appreciate your opinions and please be honest =D.</p>

<p>i think the schools you applied to could all potentially admit a 2100 with otherwise solid stuff. i wouldnt worry about it, dude. you'll get in somewhere nice, and definitely to some of those places.</p>

<p>I'm not too worried about getting into a college or not...if all else fails there are a lot of safety schools that I could apply to last second. Now that I've finished my applications its just the anxiety factor...I guess my post is just an attempt to relieve the anxiety =/</p>

<p>I don't think NYU is a big reach...GPA may be a problem, but SAT scores are good. You have a chance at NYU.</p>

<p>Wow...fast responses in this forum. My first choice is University of Maryland, College Park, do you guys think I'll get in? UMCP has been getting very competitive lately.</p>
