I am currently an actuarial analyst considering a business Ph.D program at a top school in either the NE or West Coast. This is actually day one of my research so I'm not sure were to start. Just some brief background I am close to an associate actuarial designation and I currently have a BS in mathematics. I've worked for two Fortune 500 companies and I am currently working for a medical stop loss insurance carrier. What things can I do besides taking the GMAT that would make me more attractive as a candidate for a graduate program? How important is my college GPA when applying to top schools?
