New items in 'Financial Aid Documents Needed' as indicator of acceptance?

On the ‘Where Am I in the Process?’ status check, the list of financial aid documents needed has sprouted a few new entries, like ‘Entrance Counseling - Undergraduate’ and ‘Master Promissory Note - Direct Loan’. Do others see these? Not see these? I’m wondering if it’s significant.

I noticed the same thing in my D’s account.

Same here. See the 2019 RD decision thread. More discussion there. Best I can tell some see these and some don’t. Hope it is a good sign. Definitely not a bad sign for sure.

Thanks!

Not seeing it on D’s account, so I am guessing it’s a no for her. :frowning:

Same here, I dont see it on my account :frowning: waiting for the skinny envelopee…

After researching, I believe it is a sign of acceptance because it states that

" Admitted students who choose to enroll and receive Federal Direct Student Loans are required to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) and an Entrance Loan Counseling Session at www.studentloans.gov. The HUB will notify students regarding the signing of their Perkins MPN"

will this appear on people who did not apply for federal aids?

If my parent’s federal tax form was “Not Signed” and I don’t have those other documents, it doesn’t mean anything right? They probably didn’t even look over my FA because it wasn’t complete.

@nagintapls‌ I didn’t get those FA forms until after the student info was waived.

Also does anyone know if these forms are also tied to waitlisted students, or just accepted? I was waitlisted at one of my schools (CIT) but no info on the other.

I will repeat again from my previous post in the other thread: I received the FAT letter yesterday, and I did NOT have the obscure FA messages on my portal. I think if you have it, you are most likely accepted. But even if you don’t have it, you may still be accepted.

@viphan‌

THANK YOU!!! There is still hope! :slight_smile:
