New Jersey Scholars Program

Decisions are out! I just found out I got in. Anybody else?

sheesh..how do you know about stuff like these? I had never heard of it until now. I find out stuff after the deadlines anyways.

I didn't know about it either at first. Each school in NJ can nominate three students, so my GC nominated me. Ask your GC if they nominate any kids and, if not, tell them to start next year! It's a great program.

lol love your locale theone :) Sadly its true, that's why I'm getting the hell out of Jersey.

Me too. Even Princeton can't keep me here.

...maybe.

lol...everyone says that, but then they come back...

Did you get a letter? I am waiting to hear...

I called in and they told me. You should call too! They mailed the letters yesterday, and I think we should be expecting them tomorrow. So, unless if you really want to wait...

Haha, I said that too for a LONG time. But at the end, Princeton will keep me here for the next 4 years. No complaints, though :).

Hence the "...maybe."

But hey, I can dream, can't I? Of getting out of Jersey, that is.

UDPATE: I got my letter today. That may be because I live about 10 minutes from Lville, though...

I can't believe there are only like 2 semifinalists on CC.

NJ is a small(er) state, and they probably won't be on during the day since they are either in school or out doing things, not on a computer.
And you are about to have 4K posts here.

Jersey isn't that small... maybe geographically, but it's the most densely populated state in the nation.

And I'm on spring break. Most of NJ is right now. Many juniors don't drive, and many CC'ers may be studying or doing homework, not going out.

Not to stereotype or anything...

Surprising; I am one of four juniors left who has no license, and there are more than 400 of us here. Now whether or not they have cars is a different manner. And I meant out doing other things, ie playing some kind of game; notice how the forum expands and contracts in terms of population during night and day.

I didn't get my license until last month (...March of senior year) -_-;;. But I was able to get rides from just about everybody else so I never felt the actual need for it. It's more like for one's reputation sake than necessity :D.

I can never, ever get rides. I don't need them since I use the Chinese method of biking to places or using private filial mass transit.

Ok. Back to the point of the thread. Did anyone else get in?

Hey! I just noticed this thread- I got in too! Where are you guys from?
