new jersy Vs texas

hi friends
which do u think is better ? new jersy institute of technology or university of texas -- arlington ?
please let me know

NJIT is a NJ state school, located in very urban area of Newark. The school is highly diversified, which is a good thing, but they (the college) spend a ton o'bux on keeping it diversified. extra tutoring, special sessions, etc., which is a bad thing (referring to use of fiscal and other resources to maintain students who probably shouldn't be there in the first place). It's also a commuter school. Largest section of student body commutes to school every day; second largest section is "suitcase" oriented. There on weekdays, home for weekends. On the plus side, it's a short train ride to NYC! In NJ, school has a good (not great) rep for the engineers it puts out.

Know very little about UT-Arlington, except the weather is a lot better than Newark, especially Dec-March!

Best of luck to you!

theres almost nothing that UT-Arlington is good for.

I'm from the Dallas area, and UT-Arlington has never seemed like a school that anyone outside of dallas should apply to.

unless you're an internationa-student, then its cheap and in the UT system, thats the only reason you should come.
