I can't stand the job I have now. I work at a restaurant as a busser, and though I'm always on time and I'm very respectful, the job quite wears me out. All the fake smiles and such to the co-workers kind of gets on my nerves. I'm a pretty introverted person, so working there really tires me out. Think I should apply for somewhere new, or wait til late summer? I plan on doing a really long summer program, so I'll be taking most of it off. The local Target seems like a cool place to work, but I'd really like to work at the library. My mom worked there for 27 years also, so I know the ropes. Apply somewhere else or stay?

go work at the library

I’d say library too :)

I bussed from Sep-Dec, and I also thought it was pretty tiring in a physical sort of way. But I wouldn’t recommend the library. I used to volunteer there shelving books and that sort of thing, and it was just so boring. No one to talk to, no change of pace, nothing.

Over the summer, I’ll either wait tables again or work at an auto shop. No library for me.

Apply somewhere else… it seems like you could use your energy on better things.
The library sounds neat and good if you’re introverted but if you work at a store or in retail you can get discounts on their stuff, which is always a plus.

I work at Target, and it’s okay. Only apply there if you can’t get something at the Library.

Apply to the library. Definitely don’t stay in your current job that stresses and wears you out so much. Good luck! :)

Apply for a book store like Barnes & Nobles or Borders. :)
