New Letter from Admissions/Financial Aid

Got a letter addressed to my parents today.. It's not the one saying you are not being considered for scholarships or midyear grade requests.

It basically says that they are glad I applied and then has a bunch of stuff about how great USC is and that cost shouldn't be the major factor in deciding on a college. It also has a "paying for college" booklet in it.

Is this a letter they send to everyone, or is it a good sign that I got this and not the other letter? My status is currently the "preliminary" one.

yeah mine is the preliminary one also, and i also got this letter thing with the booklet right? aaaaah i hope its a good sign >.<

no, I got this too… I don’t think it means anything, except that we applied.

got it too

yeah I kind of realized there’s no significance… it’s basically just saying try to apply for financial aid.
