ok so the link for confirmation of EA apps says to e-mail the person if you haven't gotten receipt of your app... does that mean a letter saying your app is complete, or that your app has been received??

Received. Because if they had SOME of your app (enough to tell you that they've received it - aka the Common App and maybe supplement), they'll have your contact info in their database and would contact you if you're missing documents.

but it says to write if you have not yet received "email confirmation, letter and/or postcard" on the actual website. since the postcard contains info on completion of your application, don't you think it also refers to the completion of your app.? that is what i think.

I'm not sure what exactly you are asking, but once you get the postcard, everything they need is in your file and you aren't missing anything that's necessary for them to review your app.

oh koena, matt(up there) asked if the new link on yale.edu(telling the students to write to this lady if they are missing the confirmation email , letter and/or postcard so that they can get their application status checked) is referring to receipt of application or also the completion of the application. i said, since it also refers to the "and/or postcard", i think that if you haven't received your postcard(which is about completion of your application),, it is legitimate to write an email to her. right/??
