I was admitted as a new lower at Phillips Academy Andover for the fall of 2014.
I am a Davis Scholar (bless the heavens, or I wouldn't be able to afford it) and I am from Burkina Faso.(that's in West Africa by the way.)
I wanted to know about the new lower experience and the fabulous school that is Andover!
- Are new lowers segregated or rejected by four year students? Or are they fully intergrated into the community?
- What dorms do they usually get? Are they with other new lowers or with returning students?
- Which is the best upperclassmen dorm? Favorite cluster?
- I wasn't able to come for revisit day as I had a debate competition I simply could not miss. Do people already meet at revist day? Am I at a disadvantage?
- How does orientation happen? Do we get to meet other new lowers/returning students. How will is work for me as an international student?
I have so many more but I will stop the incessant firebomb of questions for now. Thank you SO much to anyone who answers and I appreciate the time you put into it!
GO BIG BLUE (I felt the urge to say that. Is the school spirit already spreading from Andover all the way to Ouagadouogu?) :)

I know @violinjaa will be a new lower! Welcome to CC. :)

Oh awesome! We will be on the same boat then! :)
