New member...can someone chance me?

Took AP Bio last year, got a 5 on the exam

If you could just name a school of a certain tier so I could get an idea of where I'm headed, I'd appreciate it.

top 100 colleges.

It’s much easier to see where you fall in with regular admission applications than transfer (which I’m stuck with). I know that your scores give you a good shot at Colby College and Bates College, and a fair shot at Bowdoin College. Those were my three top choices, but they are almost impossible to get into as a transfer student. Bowdoin only accepted four last year.

So Bowdoin, depending on who you ask, is within the top 20 or close to it, and I’d say you have a fair chance of getting in there. You probably already have, but if you haven’t, take a look at collegeboard.com. They have good statistics for almost any college you’d want.

What do you plan on majoring in?

You might want add a bit more to your ECs. Those ECs look pretty much like you joined a few random clubs/teams/ did a few random events. Find something you like and pursue it with a passion, that looks good to colleges.

@dfree124 well i agree with the thing about ECs, I’m joining botball again and will probably volunteer some more…
@kevycanuck I’m looking to get into dental school, preferably a 7-year program like Upenn or NYU
@Troianii thanks for the analysis, I’m sorry to say that I’m not familiar with the colleges you mentioned but i guess if Bowdoin is top 20 then that’s pretty good.

How much can your family pay? If you haven’t already had The Big Money Talk with your parents and/or whoever else it is who is going to help you pay for your education, the time to do that is now. Until you know what your budget is, it will be hard for you to proceed.
