I think you've got a very good shot at UT Austin and even a good shot at Berkeley, despite being out of state. Cornell and UPenn are doable...it would all depend on the applicant pool. As for Princeton and Stanford, you'd probably want to increase your SAT CR section, which it looks like you plan on doing. I think it's worth applying, although you'd need to make yourself stick out in some way. Buying and selling car parts in Japan is pretty unique.

That's my input. Overall, I think you should go for all of those schools. You could also try Brown (interesting ECs), NYU, and the other UCs, if you haven't thought of them already. I don't really know what you're looking for in a school, though. Good luck!

thanks for the feedback, yea UT is pretty much my safety school, im almost positive i can get into the engineering school there, but idk about others.

Hey.
I'm new too.
And guessing by your name, I'm pretty sure I know you.

How is your GPA a 3.90 UW with a B+, shouldn't it be a little higher like 3.96 - 3.99

well i just did a rough conversion. in my school gpa is out of 7 and mine is a 6.8333 so i just did 6.833 / 7 = x / 4 and got 3.9 im not sure how accurate it is but w/e
