Apparently I just called the admissions office which said that they have a lot of appeals they are going through. So at least they are going through them :D so decisions will be given out soon at least before may for sure. Also I submitted mine feb 23 (day after decision) because they made a mistake, and he says I should get one sometime this week most likely. Also check all the time because he said it could show any time, and said decisions usually come out at least 2 weeks after they have been submitted.

Now apparently decisions have not been made because they are waiting to see if people will reject their offer of admission. They had a lot of applications that exceeded how many they can take, so no news is actually good news. She said if they made it now it would be a no, but because they want to wait to see if spots open. Most likely we will know in April when finacial aid comes out and if people are not happy, they will reject their offer.

Bump

Is there a thread for last year appeals so we know when they got theirs

So they are not going to post any appeal decisions until then? Or is there a chance we could just get denied before then?

We could get denied she said not hearing now us good since it will be a denial probably

Most likely not. You should call they might say something different to you

How are transfer students affected by the admission process as of this point? Is it good if a transfer student has not heard anything by now?

I am not sure how transfer admission goes. It is based if retention rate ut retention is 92% or 95% i think. The lower the retention the better. It means the % of kids who transfer out of Ut.

Can I get some advice please?
I made a mistake by not applying for a transfer position to UT Austin, and I know it’s very late.

I’m a current student at a community college currently with a 3.8 and plan on majoring in biology.

Is there any hope of trying an appeal process at this point to try and get in as a junior for fall '14?

Side note: I went to Texas Tech my first semester because I was not accepted to UT Austin, and realized that I would not like to spend 4 years on Lubbock.

I appreciate any input

No ok it’s an option relax cap will still be available just accept cap as a backup in case appeal fails.
