also, i made my essay serious and enlightening, my 'yourspace' funny, and the parts where we had to expand on our favorite hobbies short and sweet. i tried to show all aspects of my personality as best as possible, and did not care if they thought it would be cheesy or offensive. showed them the real me. AND IM EXTREMELY HAPPY!!!!!

nice job everyone, i'm so happy for you guys. so far it seems everyone who's gotten their letters are on the east coast right? i'm in california and it didn't come yet...shucks, lol

OH MY GOD!!!!! I haven't heard anything from my mom. PANIC Does that mean that it's bad news and she's afraid to tell me?? Or that she just hasn't gotten it yet??? I AM SO SCARED!!!! I live in CT. Shouldn't it be here by now? Maybe I'll hear tomorrow! Holy crud. I feel completely ill. I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep at all.

I feel so ill. I'm a nervous wreck. Seriously, waiting is soso hard...

I'm also extra scared because everyone else who got in seems to have a very high GPA, which is a weakish part of my application even though the classes were the most challenging. My SATs are higher than a lot of the ones posted here, but I think that just says 'slacker' (I'm not) or something since it obviously didn't make a difference last time...

wow, great news from everyone! congratulations you guys! i've met some great people already and i can't wait to meet you all. you guys can join the LJ community and the myspace group so that we can get in touch.

hey guys, you know that song "i woke up in a car" ....CAUGHT A TRAIN TO POUGHKEEPSIE AND TIME STOOD STILL LOL yay for SOCO!!! i'm gonna go listen to that song now wahoooo hahaha :)

Hey everyone. My panic has worn off and despite what someone told me a long time ago about deferrals going first to ED2 and then to RD if they defer you again, I reread an email from an admissions officer and I'm pretty sure I'm in the RD pool automatically. I wish I'd realized that earlier because I'd have asked whether there was any way to change to the ED2 pool, but it's obviously too late now.

Good luck everyone and keep posting with your results!
