TEACHER RECS-SOLID
Counselor RECS-EXCELLENT
OTHER RECS-EXCELLENT

I have recs from two distinguished OSU alums, an admissions rep and a professor at OSU

Chance me!

Anyone????

Anyone??????????????????????????????????

Not a chance due to the SATs. OSU won't look at your app once they see your SAT. Try Ohio U

Not true...

There admissions rep said that they read every little thing

Wouldn't know exactly how your disability would factor to an admission officer with regards to how you have overcome and have decent scores with your disability. In state would be very difficult if not unlikely with your scores. GPA is ok but not sure what the OOS competition would be. OOS tuition is so high, is cost not a concern? You may be accepted at one of the satellite campuses with an option to the main campus if your initial grades are acceptable. Check out the common data set and see how many in your percentile were accepted in 07'. Good luck.

A kid at my school got in with a 3.3 and a 1020 Math and Verbal.

I'd prefer a response by someone like OSUfunguy or someone who knows that there talking about

If someone was accepted with a 1020, then there were extenuating circumstances: scholarship athlete, first generation college student, under-represented minority etc.

At Ohio State, class rank and test scores outweigh everything else. To put yours into perspective, for 2007, 89% of the class scored higher than 1090 on the SAT (or equivalent ACT). What's your class rank? If you have a top 10% class rank and some extenuating circumstances similar to the ones above, you might have a (long)shot, so go ahead and apply if you feel strongly about attending Ohio State.

OTOH, you're probably a pretty sure shot for getting into OU, so I'd also definitely send a safety application to Athens--easily in the top half of the enrolled freshman class at OU as opposed to the bottom tenth at Ohio State.

My scores have been effected because of my Tourette Syndrome

This kid was actually Indian

You seem to kinda be chancing yourself anyway lol, so why don't you just apply and see what happens?

Not really,

I'm letting other chance me lol

aNYONE eLSE?

I'd apply, and add documentation that you have overcome this disability. My bil has Tourettes too and is completely functional. If possible, make (good) friends with an OSU adcom. They could be your best friend in this instance. You probably should have applied earlier though, since this is their worst time of year.

Good luck.

It's already November 3rd. I think the deadline for consideration for merit and other scholarships is December 3rd. One month. Why are you wasting time "chancing". Just get the application in and see what happens. The clock is ticking.

Our opinions don't count anyway. Let the OSU admissions folks get a look at you. Theirs is the only opinion that matters.

Good luck.

I should also add that I do have Tourette Syndrome which effects my test taking ability. This was made very clear in my counselor rec.
