New Paltz/Oneonta early action

D applied to NP and Oneonta EA. Any idea of when decisions go out? She was already accepted at Potsdam.

Don’t know, but if you call the schools they’ll be happy to tell you. When my son applied to New Paltz they were very forthcoming on the phone, but call the regular school number and not the 800 number.

[Office of Admissions](<a href=“Home | SUNY Oneonta”>First-Year Admissions | SUNY Oneonta)
^the info is clearly stated on the Oneonta website

cut and pasted from the Oneonta link:

Early Action

Early Action is a non-binding early application/notification program for Fall Freshmen. If you are accepted through Early Action, you do not have to withdraw your applications at other institutions until May 1. Early Action application deadline is November 15. The Admissions Office will start making decisions on December 1st and all applicants will notified by January 1st. To be considered Early Action please make sure you check “Early Action” on the application.

My kids’/kids’ friends experience from past years is that NP sends EA in a bunch around Dec 15th-ish and Oneonta should be starting to send some out any day now; people heard on various days.

thanks folks. I couldn’t find the info on the websites!!! Poor reading skills I guess :)

A lot of colleges will say on website “you will be notified by______” but typically send out notices much earlier than the stated date. If you look at old CC threads you can get an idea of what happened last year. And as LilyMoon said, some admissions offices will be quite candid if you call and ask. Of course, maybe better to just assume the later date so you don’t check your email and mail every hour!

muffy- you have got my number!
