Fordham has announced this morning the 33rd President of Fordham University. President-Elect Tetlow will be the first layperson and the first woman to occupy the post in Fordham’s 181-year history. She will take office on July 1, 2022.

She seems to be an outstanding choice. Great background with ties to Fordham and the Jesuit community. My S sent me the announcement but I can’t seem to link it here. Some highlights:
–currently president of Loyola - New Orleans (another Jesuit college)where it sounds like she is doing a great job
–BA from Tulane, JD from Harvard
–parents attended and met at Fordham
–her late father was a (former) Jesuit priest and her uncle is a Jesuit priest
Father McShane will be a tough act to follow but President Elect Tetlow seems extremely well qualified to keep Fordham moving forward. As the proud mom of a Fordham grad I wish them both all the best.
