new program -->GLS

Hey guys, i applied and just got accepted to GLS (Global liberal studies). It’s the new program for those of you who don’t know (not to be confused with LSP). Because it’s knew, i guess i have a lot of questions.

how many students are accepted to this program?

can we transfer out to the normal CAS if we don’t like it at the end of the freshman year?

what exactly, are its differences from LSP, the program students get into if they don’t quite make the original school they applied to?

is it supposed to be harder/“better” than regular CAS? (if you know what i mean?)

i’d appreciate solid answers with some sources that i can check out for myself. and some points of contact from those of you out there that have also applied to and gotten accepted to GLS.

I applied,but do not know whether I am in or not~~~When did you get your decision??I am a International student

is it supposed to be harder/"better" than regular CAS?

yes. according to the official website, it is.

could you please post a link to where it actually says that?
thanks

best luck to you for participating in the new program as a guinea pig. If I'm not mistaken, you do two or more semesters abroad in that program. (interestingly enough, this also seems to solve the housing problem caused by increased enrollment)

BUMP.
anybody?

Yeah I got in too, and I’m wondering if I want to go into GLSP or UCLA or Emory (Oxford College), which are the acceptances I’ve gotten so far. It’s been really hard for me deciding since this is a brand new program. What does everyone else think about this program? It’s hard to judge the quality of a program that hasn’t been enacted yet!

It’s really easy to internally transfer to CAS from the other schools, that shouldn’t be a problem.
