New Ranking: #1 Harvard, #2 Grove City College...

Got 1 wrong (didnt read the last one lol). I doubt that study is very accurate.

http://www.americancivicliteracy.org/resources/quiz.aspx

“You answered 32 out of 33 correctly — 96.97 %.”

Huh. Looks like that Berkeley political science degree was worth something.

Only question I got wrong was the one on the Puritans.

How can college educators score a mere 55% on this crap.

Pfft, it was only 33 :P. I got 29 of 33; not too shabby for an engineer whose last experience with either political science or history was barely passing the AP exam back in '03.

I’ve seen ISI distribute these tests on campus. The methodology is truly awful. One example: I actually told a guy giving away tests at the dining hall that I wasn’t interested, and he tells me “Oh, it’s alright. We just want to give these away. You don’t really have to do it.”

I got a 91%. I don’t see how you could get below a 70% on that test.

I got 94%. Haven’t taken an AP History class in my life.

I got sick of it the before I even finished reading all the choices for the first question. Well, a guess that’s what happens when you major in EECS.

I got two wrong; the Puritan question and the last one, which I didn’t read at all.

I’m international, never lived in America, and never taken American History class of any sort, and got 27/33. I highly doubt any Harvard graduate could score less than 70%…

I love how people like to brag about how high they scored on a mulitple choice test on an anonymous forum, when they find out that college educators scored 55%.

Haha, I’m pretty sure this list is biased against any school that has a large engineering/science focus or is very international. Cute nonetheless.

I seriously doubt the credibility of this supposed study. I doubt any such test was ever administered, or their analysis is highly suspect.

Just look at the scores which people here have gotten. I highly doubt CC is that much more literate than Harvard.

Plus, the people making it are clearly a highly biased organization just trying to push an agenda. Even in the wording of some questions, this bias could be clearly detected (especially econ ones).

I mean, just look at their site: [Join the Battle of Ideas](http://www.isi.org/). I mean, come on. Apparently we’re on a slippery slope to socialism driven by a grand conspiracy among liberal professors.

Well, I mean you could infer their political slant from their questions about the economy for sure, like you said :P. It’s just a silly quiz like anything else you’ll ever take online.

I’m sure it determines how “patriotic” you are. Not sure what is says about me who did not have the attention span to complete the survey.

Well, actually, Grove City College does have a large engineering/science proportion on campus, almost certainly higher than Harvard’s.

“You answered 32 out of 33 correctly — 96.97 %.”

Hey, they really do teach you something in law school.
