New Rankings

Rankings aren’t everything, but getting some recognition is always nice. Davis moved up in recent rankings - we’re now 9th in public universities (up from 11th), and 39th among all national universities (up from 42nd).

its nice to see ucd move up along with ucsb. But it seems to me that the admission rate % is really holding those 2 schools back… especially davis since well… it admits more students than other universities… I’m guessing because its big enough to do so? and it has less applicants because of… maybe the location? so the admission % is so high. Pretty crazy.

I didnt expect it to go up, but hey, its nice to be wrong :D

I think they accept so many people because, yeah, Davis is so huge. While schools like UCB and UCLA are smaller, they have to admit less. Davis can’t just admit less people to make themselves look more selective.

Definitely cannot admit less people to make more selective.
I actually really like how it admits so many people :D
