New residence halls

<p>During our Pomona visit last weekend for Parents weekend, we toured the two newest residence halls which will open in the summer. They are gorgeous and very modern, not at all like the typical Pomona look and feel.
They are very “Green” in material usage as well as energy efficient. I wasn’t sure I would like them as I love the Spanish influence of the rest of the campus but I found myself impressed with the layout and design. I loved the fact that you can’t turn on the air conditioner if your window is open.</p>

<p>Anyone else like them or were you turned off by the modern design?</p>

<p>Love them :slight_smile: Unfortunately only 150 beds available for upperclassmen and everybody is going to want to live in them!</p>

<p>I was very impressed with the new dorms, as was my S (he is a first year). He doesn’t think he will have any chance to live there until his senior year. He will most likely go abroad one semester of his junior year, so it’s just as well to wait until his last year.</p>
