Does anyone else feel it unfair that some schools, or most schools that require SAT II's, are still requiring 3 SAT II's but will not count the writing section of the New SAT? I am math and writing oriented, so I off-subject SAT II would be fine with me, but since I havn't taken physics the Math IIC is the only II test I think I can do good in. It just seems unfair...

Have you taken biology or chemistry? You can maybe try a language too.

I've taken both but I would never get above about a 620 on them and although I get good grades in language the language tests supposedly are unpredictable.

All of the schools I am applying to (except for one) that used to require 3 SAT II's now only require 2, so I don't quite see where you're coming from. Which schools require 3 SAT II's?

if you are "writing" oriented, then try Lit. HOw about one of the history's?

I know that Harvard and Yale are still requiring 3 SAT II's in addition to the new SAT.

I am in the same boat. I have taken the chem SAT II (710) and plan on taking Math IIC and another in October. I am deciding between Lit and Spanish --in both a good score is not guarenteed for me.

Lion 123: I would suggest seriously thinking about the Lit and language tests. These might be your best bets. Don't count out history either though.

thanks for all the good advice
