What's the best prep book for the new SAT?

I am.

I think I'm alright for Math, but I still need more practice with the Writing and Reading Comprehension sections.

They give a range, and not an exact score because since those questions were never administered in any of the experimental sections, it is hard to correctly determine the scale.

But generally, a 6 questions wrong will get you around 700 critical reading...
A 10+ essay and 2 ~ 3 questions wrong will get you an 800 in writing.
And.. math.. is unpredictable. -1 could go anywhere from 800 to 760

Couldn't you find the questions for the March 12 by getting the experimental sections from previous test administrations?
Problem is finding out which sections were experimental.

Don't they post which sections were experimental on the CB website?

im in baby =D wait... no reason for celebration... sigh my parents told me if i didnt do well i couldnt go vacation in china this summer... PRESSURE'S ON!!!

O_o what's your parents' definition of well?

I am! But I don't feel prepared at all! I really have no idea how to study.

A bit more than 1 month left. It's crunch time, guys. My schedule entails 10+ practice tests and over 2 hours of practice each day. (It's much more structured than that, but that's the short of it.)

LOL...two months before the January 22nd SATs I decided to spend a lot of time studying for it each day and memorize one of those 3000+ wordlists. But each day there were other things to do, homework to finish, and games to play...and just one week before the test I found I haven't done any studying at all. I barely managed to finish memorizing the A's of that wordlist, and I did a total of 3 practice tests from the 10 real sat book. On friday night the 21st I desperately tried to memorize more words out of regret, regret for all the lost time. I ended up sleeping at 2AM saturday morning and didn't remember any of the words I tried to memorize that night...

The funny thing is, I did the same thing when preparing for the SAT II chemistry and bio tests and my two PSATs. I have a funny feeling that this will happen to me again for the March test. Maybe I should just give up trying to study for any test and let things take their natural course...

I'm not studying.

To each his own. My SAT score is my trump card---hopefully it will distinguish me from other students of similar caliber.

aignam same with me. I am aiming for my SAT score to be 100-200 points above the average at the schools I am applying to. Same for the SAT IIs.

deus.ex.machina - their def of well is above a 2300 lol so yea.. i better get crackin'
thas wut ive been gettin on the 11 Real Sats so far... but i dont kno how well that measures

11 Real Sats? Old SAT or New SAT?

I'm taking it in March, I'm just going to do some practice tests over vacation. I have trouble with tthe subjectivity of the CR section and math, too

Vacation comes after the SAT, for me at least...

11 NEW sats is the one i got... yea i have spring break after the test too lol
