NEW SAT PRACTICE HELP.

I need to practice for the new Sat so should I try the reading questions on Princeton’s 1,296 act questions(PrepSchoalr says ACT and the NEW SAT are similar in reading, also tell if I should try other ACT matierials). Also, should I do Khan Academy first or in the end ? I aim for 1500-1600 range.

The first thing that I would do is take an official practice test from either the college board or khan academy. Do it under the official time constraints and be sure to only use a calculator during section 4. Then, you can see what in particular you need to study. I would not recommend using a book for ACT prep when studying for the SAT because the passage styles and questions asked differ widely from the two exams. If you score the practice test that you take using the SAT practice app and then link your college board account to khan academy, the practice tests will go into your khan academy account and you will be asked practice questions that you showed difficulty with. Khan academy is a very good practice website (it is affiliated with the college board), but is not a good site (especially with reading and writing) for learning skills; for this a prep book may be necessary to meet your goal; I would suggest going to amazon for that.

I just don’t wanna do the practice tests as I would do them in the end to get my score

And The act seems similar to the sat in reading. I am sorry if this may offend you but are you sure that the papers differ ?

Do not, I repeat, do not use ACT books for SAT studying!
Here is a list that worked well for me:

  • Khanacademy
  • Princeton Review
  • The Critical Reader
  • College Panda Writing
  • Shaan Patel’s ebooks
  • Dr. Jang’s 800 for Math

Stay away from the following:

  • ACT prep materials
  • Kaplan
  • McGraw Hill
  • Barron’s

Just tell me one thing
is Princeton Reviews 500+ questions for the new sat good
or is it easy
as many sites say its easy

I think all Princeton’s Review books reflect the SAT well. But it is true that the difficulty is easier than on Kaplan, Barrons, and McGraw Hill. But it is also true that the SAT Math itself is pretty easy, so PR is probably the most accurate out of the other options.
