Wat are the new scores ranges for admission into berkeley... thanks.. brothas..

Check the site. I don't think they have score ranges (They sort of have score cut offs to be eligible for UCs in general). The "ranges" of which you speak are probably the average scores of the entering freshmen. That's on the website. It's not for the new SAT but that's pretty much comparable to the old one.

Old SAT = New SAT
Math = SAT I math section
Verbal = SAT I reading section
SAT II writing = SAT I writing section

That's in my opinion, but the questions overlap the most in these sections. But there are significant changes, so I wouldn't really compare them as the same. You should know that Class of '06 is the first to get a taste of the new SAT, so Berkeley obviously HAS NO SCORE RANGES for this BRAND NEW TEST.

Average scores for '05 students
Verbal: 590-710
Math: 630-740
Writing: 600-740

Look at the site.

just assume that the new Writing range will be similar to the old, +/- 20 points. Also, be aware that the UC ranges are skewed down since: 1) they accept the highest scores of only one sitting; 2) they give an advantage to apps from low income & first gen to go to college, which tend to score lower.
